Moon Rise

I’ve been working with collages lately. This one is made from images cut from magazine photos and store flyers, except for that bit of green along the bottom.
It’s made by coating a magazine photo with several layers of acrylic matte medium. When fully dry, I soaked it in water for a few minutes to soften the paper, and then rubbed it off. The colors in the image remain stuck to the medium, leaving a transparent colored image.
This ACEO will be in the Ohio Collage Society show opening March 11 at the Box Gallery in Akron.

It really is! I like being able to move large shapes around and work with the layers.
