David Sandum is organizing a Twitter Art Exhibit in Moss, Norway. He’s asked artists from around the world to send in original, postcard-sized artworks to be sold to raise money for a women’s crisis center. The exhibit opens on Friday, April 13, 2012.

My entry is a collage made from a bit of a map, origami paper, and machine stitching with red thread. It’s already in the mail on it’s way to Norway.

This is a lovely card for a worthy cause. I went to the website to read about it as I thought I might participate. But, I don’t have a Twitter account and that seems to be necessary to join. Good for you for helping! nancy

Lovely, Karen! I am only just this minute finding the time to peruse the CED from LAST week!! I decided to check out some folks whose work I’ve not yet seen and am so glad I chose yours. I can really relate to your working small as I have also recently come back to making my art, and living in 300 square feet with a Golden Retriever means small is all I CAN DO!! However, I recently did a 30 by 48-inch painting for some friends’ new home which let me get a bit creative with inside space [we had a LOT of rain so outside wasn’t working]. Now I have a way to set up and work larger inside, but I am still staying in the smallish sizes I love.
So nice to “meet” you and again, thank you, for your lovely work and for the information. I might just give it a go!!

I can’t imagine how you and the Golden manage with 300 sq ft! Goodness… I used to work large many years ago – and that has its challenges – but so does working small. It can be very satisfying.
