Lyrical Landscapes

My Lyrical Landscapes are an ongoing series in response to feeling closed in / smothered / overwhelmed / overcome by the barrage of social media, news, and information overload.

While I value staying informed, sometimes all the information is too much. I find myself craving wide open spaces, places where the air is clear, where you can breathe and hear yourself think. Places where you can rest, reset, and recharge.

That leads to another new Lyrical Landscape.

In some pieces, you will see shapes that clearly resemble the land: hills, streams, rocks, and trees. You’ll see sheet music, blue skies, green fields.

In others, the land shapes are more abstract, less obvious. But the feeling is there of a sense of space, openness, air.

These pieces bring me a great deal of joy and peace. I hope they do the same for you.
