I love coneflowers but have never been able to get them to grow in my yard. So, instead I made paper ones to keep me happy. And these will last all year long! 18 x 24 inches on paper.Made of painted paper, origami paper, and other colorful papers.
One of the largest collages that I have attempted so far, Moonlight Serenade creates a peaceful presence. Strata 1 and 2 are such close companions, that they were created almost side-by-side. I was aiming for pieces that felt geologic, like layers and fissures in rock, earthy and solid. They are made of painted paper, maps, gold metal leaf. Strata 2 is part of The Warmth of Color exhibit.
