Birdsong is on the move!
Originating in Hudson, the flock has traveled to Cuyahoga Falls and Akron. Now it is heading to Cleveland.
More than 200 handpainted birds will be displayed at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens this spring.
Along with the birds will be an exhibit of art made by some of the artists who also painted birds. I made a special collage, called Murmuration, just for this exhibit.
It is made of painted paper, sheet music, and lots of tiny hand-cut birds.
The bird I made for the flock, if you can find it, is painted like an artist: palette under one wing, brushes under the other, beret on its head.

Reception: Friday, April 24, Noon – 8pm. Admission is free that day.
